Complete Digital Photography under Pigeons explains in great details how to make Pigeons stand out in a photo if the background has too much going on. It goes into great depth and steps to do this. This site is very helpful!!!

The website didn’t have anything that really interested me. The only thing I really enjoyed about the website was the fact that it taught you about different kinds of cameras. It also shows you cameras that are in your price range and teaches you about the camera lenses.

this website seemed kind of boring to me, you can find out the latest digital cameras, photography and imaging news, and a digital camera database and buyers guide.

Click on Budget Camera Group Test and you'll get to a link that shows the new cameras and has a gallery. When you click on one you can see the review for that camera in your budjget.

I like the new lens for the Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD Aspherical (IF) Macro. I like how it has a "15 times zoom ratio" as one of its features.

The Alpha 900 offers several enticing features, including sensor-shift image stabilization, a super 100% coverage viewfinder and the same high resolution screen as the Alpha 700. This camera sounds really cool and looks cool too. http://www.google.com/ig#max32

This website didn't interest me all that much. The only semi-interesting thing I found out was that Sigma has announced a firmware update for its DP-1 compact digital camera, and that using version 2.00 will make the image magnification ratio will appear during playback.

Nikon introduces the 24.5MP D3X digital SLR. I think this camera is a good buy because it has an image sensor with double the number of photosites of the popular D3.

Sony has announced the development of the finest-yet pixel-pitch. The 12.2 CMOS sensor has been developed for mobile phone camera, but is of a size commonly used in compact and super zoom cameras.

I found out Panasonic just announced the launch of the compact FL220 flashgun and will update the DMC-LX3's firmware to accommodate it. Even though i have no idea how to use it, its cool that others have interest for it.

The photo company known as Canon, is trying to encourage it's U.S consumers to not take full advantage of it's rebate program. This is because the company plans to file for bankruptcy, and cashing in rebate checks will further hurt the photo company.

The website has some interesting things like Samsung Techwin, the Korean manufacturer is planning to separate its camera division into an individual entity. This will happen in Feb 1, 2009.

Hyperfocal focusing is a technique which allows you to get everything in focus past a certain distance. To set your lens to the hyperfocal distance, just align the infinity mark with the corresponding aperture mark. You no longer need to stop to focus at every shot, allowing you to snap away immediately after framing. It’s one of the most basic tricks in the book for street photography.

That last post of mine was intended for Photoshop Roadmap but this is the right one...

Sony introduces new image censor for mobile phones. This website is mainly about different camera brands and updates on new products they come out with. In this particular article they talk about how Sony Corporation in Tokyo, Japan just recently introduced the world’s first, industry leading resolution 12.25 megapixel CMOS image sensor called “Exmor” for mobile phones.

Under Learn/Glossary: Digital Imaging- I learned that JPEGs (Joint Photographic Experts Group) "allows you to make a tradeoff between image file size and image quality". It also shows examples of a 100%, 80%, 60%, and 10% Quality JPEG photo.

Adobe has updated Photoshop Lightroom to Version 2.2. The latest version extends RAW support to the cameras included in the recent Camera RAW 5.2 release. The latest update also builds-in the camera profiles, previously available from Adobe Labs, that attempt to mimic the camera manufacturers' intended output.
